Via Draconis (the Way of the Dragon)

Fercan d'Argon had been sitting in the tavern "Nahfr's Den" watching a man for two hours. The guy was a mercenary from Durmiz and apparently he had come to Cendres to eliminate Fercan. She wanted to take him at his own game, to hunt the hunter, as it were. The mercenary's name was Lydda Egorges, and he was a stout fellow over two meters tall in heavy armor. He had placed his weapon beside him, which read Ascalon on the handle. His reputation had preceded him: a hunter who relentlessly pursued his prey until he had eliminated them, preferably in a bloodbath, because this guy was a real butcher.

But today, the target was Fercan, and she had no intention of letting the story end the same way. Lydda Egorges had already driven away some of Fercan's friends and family? and he was going to pay for it.

It was a man called Syve who had warned Fercan of the Butcher's arrival. This old fellow seemed to know a great deal and much more.

So she had been watching him carefully for the past two hours, wondering how she was going to handle the situation. She finished her fifth mug of mead in one gulp, stood up and planted herself in front of the mercenary. The latter smiled, gazing at the young woman curves with a lustful eye:

"So redhead, you're looking for a real rider to ride you, you look pretty hot there!"

Fercan looked at him with a wry, drunken smile.

"Hot? That's for sure and a lot more than you think!"

The butcher smiled, but his expression suddenly froze and the last thing he saw was the deluge of flames raining down on him.

What is a Via Draconis

The Via Draconis are reputed to be people who have inherited the ancient wisdom of the Dragon and to have very strong and distinctive personalities. They do not hesitate to dictate and force their way through if they feel they are in the right or if they feel they are serving the best interests of all. They are passionate beings symbolizing change and transformation. Acquiring wealth is often part of their personal goals which can lead them to questionable actions.
