As they have broken the harmony of the Divine Blood by mixing it, they must purify themselves if they are to regain their former power. The Daughters of the Night, priestesses of the Goddess Lunae, use the Veil of Tear to identify the divine lineage from which each man descends: each adolescent, in the year of his 13th birthday, pours his blood on the Veil, in order to know his dominant divine lineage and thus join the good Kingdom. Centuries follow centuries, but despite all these efforts, the Gods give no sign. The men end up despairing and the conflicts start again. Kingdoms against kingdoms, lineages against lineages. Once again, the Divine Blood is mixed and it begins to become scarce.
