In 8254, the prophet Dros Valdech, receives in his dreams a message from the Gods: It is Cephéus itself that must be purified to allow their return. And the only way to do this is to take back the cursed lands of Yllurie. With the support of Emperor Varysian-the-Hearty, the prophet founded the city of Valombreuse, on the very ruins of the Serpent's lair. He is entrusted with the Veil of the Tear and builds the monastery of Malicorne, where the blood of children will be tested. He writes the book of blood rituals which sets the rules to be followed by those who still have Ancient Blood in their veins.
