Via Ursa (the Way of the Bear)

 

For days, Ulbrecht had been scouring the mountains of the Altyriandes Range in search of his prey. The fugitive, a man named Sobrek, worked for the Princes-Marchands of Valombreuse and was responsible for the capture of his brother Dragmir. His body had been found, bloodless, in a seedy Valombreuse shithole. Ulbrecht patiently followed the trail to find out who was behind it all, breaking the arms, bodies and heads of anyone who could provide him with information along the way. After several months, he finally tracked down Sobrek. The envoy of the Merchant Princes was leading a group of mercenaries through the Altyriandes chain, in search of riches to bring back to his masters. Ulbrecht had tracked them down methodically, eliminating them one by one, and now he was facing his brother's murderer.
"You dog, why did you do that to Dragmir? Which one of those rotten merchants do you obey?" shouted Ulbrecht.
Sobrek, incapable de cacher ses tremblements, s’abritait derrière une courte dague. En un instant, le barbare se jeta sur sa proie, la ceinturant dans une puissante étreinte. ?Parle, Rat d?égout !? hurla-t-il au visage d’Ulbrecht, alors qu?il resserrait encore ses bras. ?Ja..mais? répondit Sobrek dans un râle. Ses yeux se révulsèrent et l?on entendit distinctement un horrible craquement, alors que le corps de Sobrek cédait sous la pression colossale de l?étreinte de l?Ours.
